Rust binders are used to treat rusted metal surfaces before painting. Neutralises rust, prevents corrosion, forms a protective film to be treated. They are suitable for the removal of surface rust. Deeper rusts require a stronger treatment, such as polishing, to remove them. Binders usually produce a protective film which prevents the metal surface from further corrosion. Instructions for use: Rust binders must be shaken before use. Most importantly, before using rust binders, remove dirt and flaking rust from the surface (mechanically) and degrease.
